A good Landmark for the western border of the center of Yangzhou
Although this Pagoda is a simple construction, it is a useful landmark especially for foreigners and tourists since it marks the western border of old Yangzhou. The most attractions of the center of Yangzhou as well as many of today's shops are located in the area between this building in the West and Grand Canal/ Dongguan Street in the East.

An old tower in the middle of the road
This tower locates in the centre of the city, it is maintained very good and no admission fee is needed.

A "rond point"
They say that the monument is old but I am not sure of that. It surely has an ornemental function but it is not charming (maybe because it is located in the middle of the road).
