A peaceful boat ride down a bayou - very scenic
Located near town center and easy to find, we thoroughly enjoyed this boat ride down the Big Cyprus Bayou. The tour guide is a retired Federal Game Warden who has worked in Parks from the Mexican border to the Canadian border. But he grew up right around this East Texas bayou, and he looks and sounds like he just emerged from these deep piney woods. Don’t expect excitement but do expect some beautiful scenery and local lure. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience (suitable for little kids and old people with bad knees like me).

10:30 am tour
Nice, slow guided boat tour along the bayou. Our trip accommodated 11 socially distanced passengers. The captain relays historic landmarks and provides a broad picture of the long gone commercial waterway. The channel is narrow and well-shaded. Lasts an hour and the price is modest. The gift shop has a very friendly old dog, who very quietly went along for the ride.

Nice calm sunny afternoon tiny riber boat ride
Nice calm ride down a real bayou, riding in a true Texas historical tiny river boat, The tour guide will tell you when you are on the tour about where the tiny boats came from, true Texas history, Pleasant day, Captain "SHAGGY" was awesome, very knowledgeable, very affordable and peaceful. lasts right about one hour, call ahead to reserve if your on a tight schedule I recommend. Very easy to locate the tour, if you use Google Maps, it will take you downtown to the store, SO make sure you call if you need directions, They are on the RIVER at the edge of town.
