Great history
This was a great surprise - read about it in the Jeffersonian paper and called and made a reservation. Tours are only on Saturdays at 1:00 pm. Mr. Nash was a delightful tour guide. Their home is furnished with beautiful antiques and family heirlooms. This is so much better than a museum because it's still a family home.

Home Tour of Singleton's Virginia Cross Home
This 45ish minute home tour was even more fascinating than I anticipated. The antebellum architecture and the pristine period-style furniture takes you back in time when life was sophisticated and elegant. The owner/tour guide shared captivating information on the furnishings and shared interesting stories about the history and previous owners of the home. My favorite part was learning how they acquired some of the furnishings and the history behind them. I also enjoyed the authentic antique doll displays. The owners were charming people and by the end of the tour, I found myself wishing I was them! Take your camera!

Not as nice as we hoped
We had just toured the house af four seasons and this one pales in comparison. Not tour worthy. Nice enough as a house with antiques, but not historically significant to Jefferson.
