We saw raccoons!
The kids took their grandparents on a walk here over thanksgiving break. They had the best time looking at the wildlife. Birds, snakes (little green one) and raccoons. The morning they saw raccoons it was 9:45ish and had rained all night. Fog was lifting when they started the walk. Check out the pic. They returned everyday that week but never saw the raccoons again or the snake.

Beautiful Nature Trail
We were looking for a nice trail to take our dog this trail was amazing beautiful views of the marshes lots of nature birds to see. Very well maintained was a lot longer than we thought worth the stop for sure.

Very quiet place for a short hike
The preserve only has 5 parking spaces (one of them requires a handicap permit.) There are two short trails. The scenic overlook trail is less than 1/4 mile and ends at a viewing platform with a view of the marsh. The second trail is a loop of approximately 1/2 mile that brings you to a canoe/kayak launch and (in my humble opinion) a much better view. You can do both trails in well under an hour.
