    Today we visited Cascade falls. I was really nervous about hiking for just under a mile with a 7yr old and someone that has stability issues. This is an great hike with a beautiful tiered waterfall. It’s not a huge falls but still beautiful! The hike did not seem like it was that long! I would definitely recommend taking the time to visit these falls. Bring bug spray depending on the time of year you visit. See more..

    Ella Sharp Park is integral to the community. It has the Ella Sharp Museum, The Peter Hurst Planetarium, softball fields, a driving range, the Round House pavilion, nature trails (although last year the DNR or the city dumped dozens of dead deer on the main trail and they stunk and attracted scavengers, wild dogs and coyotes). My favorite annual activity is Shakespeare in the Park, but there are events on a weekly basis such as car shows, art exhibits and concerts. See more..
