Nice trip

Venezia Lines offers a high speed ferry service connecting Italy to the Istrian Peninsula. We organise trips connecting Venice to Pula, Porec, Rovinj, and Umag in Croatia as well as Piran in Slovenia. The service is seasonal and commences in the last week of April until the first week of October. In July and August we offer a daily service between both countries. Venezia Lines is the fastest and most secure way to cross between the 2 countries.

    Venice, st Mark’s incredible
Venice centre extremely busy and has lots of cheap tacky stalls along the harbour, once you get away from that and start walking through the narrow cobbled streets you get a sense of the real Venice and this is so lovely, you will find leather, glass, jewellery and clothing at reasonable prices. The views from st marks are wonderful and what a fantastic catherdral it is, the decor is outstanding. However the queues for all the places of interest are long, expect a wait. We did a cruise down the grand canal which was relaxing and seen lots.

Day Trip to Venice - mostly okay but the lunch for 23 Euros was a rip-off!
We = my mum and I - wanted to visit Venice whilst we were in the Pula area. We got up at an unearthly hour to catch the coach to Porec from Pula and boarded the Venezia Lines ferry after being processed. Once on board, the stewards started to tell us about Venice (in their own way) & sell us their 'package' of 4 once there. Because mum and I had never been before & we had no idea where we would be landing, we bought the whole deal of 4 items with Venezia Lines - taxi to near St. Mark's Sq, lunch, gondola ride and then water taxi up to the Rialto Bridge. All in all, it cost us 90 euros each (you got a 10 euros discount if you booked all 4). The lunch was a real disappointment. Pasta, tomato sauce, wine (for the drinkers), water but no soft drinks at all. For dessert, literally a scoop of ice cream. The gondola ride was good as was the last water taxi. Coffee on board was 3.50 euros a cup and awful. Guides were generally friendly though & helpful. Leona Li had a UK adapter for me.
