4.5 (504 reviews) Spent More than 3 hours Ranking #2 in Rovinj Parks

Pretty park

Golden Cape (Zlatni rt/Punta corrente), Kurent Bay and Montauro Cape are located around 1.5 km away from the town-center, south of the ACI Marina and Lone Bay.The coast is mostly rocky. There are a few beaches covered with small round stones, and Kurent Bay, the most visited beach in this area, covered with gravel. Kurent Cape is on the eastern side (see map). The beaches are rocky and the access to the sea is not easy. At Kurent Cape you will also find a pier where you can temporarily tie your boat and there is also a small gravel-covered bay.

A lovely place for a cool walk by the sea under the trees
We parked, for a fee, nearby and simply followed our noses down the trail at what we assumed was the beginning of the Punta Corrente park. Our main intention was to give both ourselves and our dog a long walk in the woods by the sea. This we achieved. Actually we enjoyed a very pleasant walk, partly under the shade of the trees along the sea with nice views over to Rovinj. Most of the walk was on a white shingle/dusty path. The only slightly annoying thing was the multitude of bicycles rushing past - many of the cyclists seemed to have disregard for other users of the path and few knew how to use their bells... On the path there are numerous places to have a picnic or hobble nervously over the rocks and pebbles to enter the crystal clear, blue water of the Adriatic. Further along the trail you come to a little bay where many previous visitors had created their own cairns from the rocks on the beach. We quickly built our own cairn of 10 stones high. Will it be there if we come back next year? All in all, a lovely place to get some exercise by the sea, under the trees which helped to cool us even though temperatures in the sun were generally well over 30°C.

    Pretty park
During our summer vacation, on a cloudy and rainy day we decided to cycle around here,as we normally would spend our days at different beaches. The park is very large and well-kept, there are rocks where you can stay here and there and some large concrete constructions where we saw people sun-tanning. There are a a couple bars here and there and the water is like everywhere else in Rovinj, clear and clean. Overall a lovely place to either run, cycle or stop by for a swim in the sea.
