A beautiful city with a rich history
We are happy to return and visit Novigrad because it is an exceptionally beautiful and well-decorated town. Its rich history makes it more attractive and interesting. Among other things, its beauty is made up of city walls, which are well preserved. The historic core of the city was completely surrounded by walls. Entering the Venetian possession of the city, in the 13th century, rack walls are erected on the late antique remains. As an ancient antique city, once again at the very edge of Celtic migration, Novigrad has been at the crossroads of the bustling historical events during its history. During its turbulent history often fell into the hands of various invaders, attacked by land and sea, but also with the devastations of plague, the greatest threat of the Middle Ages, which on several occasions almost killed the entire population. During the summer months concerts are taking place and the city is crowded with people. The atmosphere is always great.

Beautifful city with nice atmosphere
Novigrad (Cittanova) is a beautiful Istrian town. Like every Istrian town and Novigrad has a rich history. The area was interesting to various invaders so they in town many rulers and cultures, from the Byzantine, Venetian, Austro-Hungarian to Italian, left traces in architecture. The old nucleus of the town of Novigrad is situated on an islet that was connected to the mainland in the 18th century. The preserved medieval city walls are one of the most interesting symbols of this beautiful city. During the summer months concerts are taking place and the city is crowded with people. The atmosphere is always great.
