Idyllic Boat Trip in Paradise
Whilst on holiday in Barra we were fortunate to experience 2 fabulous boat trips with Barra Vida. Our first was an organised trip on the larger boat, Island Dance, with a live band playing fabulous music. We were greeted on the beach by Jo, very friendly and efficient, and who was also waiting for us upon our return to make sure everything had been to our satisfaction. Ernesto, the experienced Skipper, took us across to the stunning Pansy Island. Seating was very comfortable and a very tasty lunch was served. Whilst anchored off the Island we were able to snorkel in the clear waters searching for the resident seahorses. We were able to find lots of pretty Pansy Shells while strolling along the shoreline. Our second trip was on the smaller boat, Sundance, along with two other couples. This time we cruised into the spectacular Mangroves where we saw lots of flamingos and various birdlife. We took our own drink and food and had a great braai on board while watching the sun go down. We can't wait to return to Barra and will definitely travel with Barra Vida again for an experience of a lifetime. Mangroves where the waterscape was mind blowing. Once again, Ernesto was so knowledgeable regarding the bird life
