Forget all your troubles
This boat ride wipes away the grime of everyday worries. The temperature drops; the river takes over. The river narrows and widens and is populated by pelicans, seagulls, herons, bald eagles and other critters. The boat takes you under the I-74 bridge under construction and it's amazing. By the time you make the full circuit (or get off for lunch at one of the stops), you'll feel as if you'd been massaged for an hour by the river itself. My wife and I go several times every year and it's never the same.

An relaxing day out
A reasonably-priced and fun experience for a day out. We are local but do this every couple years to get a different view of the river. Parked at the Isle of Capri and picked up the boat from there. We boarded as the schedule suggested but ended up sitting on the boat for about 30 minutes before leaving. This was unexpected but fine as it was a nice enough day. Perhaps there was something about the schedule I didn’t understand. A quick trip to the Village of East Davenport, where we got off to walk to Lagomarcino’s for some ice cream, and then we stayed on the boat for the rest of the circuit. Passing under the two bridges (new and old I-74 bridges) was a highlight! Next time, I plan to bring our bikes along and ride the river paths. Good fun with kids!
