    A Wonderful Experience
This is only about a 2 mile hike around the perimeter, but if you’re not accustomed to the altitude it will offer enough of a mild workout, particularly if you take one of the trails to the summit. This is a very close to town hike that shouldn’t be missed. We extended our distance to about 3 1/2 miles by doing so and wish we’d taken out trekking poles for the climb. The scenery is very nice, and we recommend parking and starting at the less busy east side park.

Tubs Hill is a must while in CDA.
This easy to moderate trail is a must-do while in CDA. There are beautiful, panoramic views of the lake for 75% of the hike with plenty of places to stop and admire the views or even get in the water. While we didn’t do it, you can jump off of “cliffs” of varying heights up to 15 feet above the water. Great for kids and dogs. There are parts you have to scramble on rocks so might not be great for elderly.
