Take a break and take the Gondola up, sans your skis
We were tired but still wanted to experience the heights of Baldy. We got a Gondola-only ticket to ride up and back, and we were able to enjoy the vista in Adirondack chairs, watch skiers and generally get about on foot. Great idea - I'm glad we did it.

Understanding Staff
Love this mountain and have for years. Today we took our children and one sustained an injury on the first one. I was super grateful that they were willing to refund our pricey lift tickets in light of the situation! Also - they are doing a great job ensuring safety with covid!

The mountain is nice, the staff are even nicer.
The folks around Sun Valley are all so nice. The ski resort is set up to make getting to and from the lifts as easy as possible and I never saw a lift line in the days I was there. I would have given five stars if there had been a bit more snow. It did snow two days I was there but the other days were blue bird days which were terrific but they were really in need of more snow. The staff went way out of there way to do anything they could to make your stay as nice as possible. I had worried about walking from parking to lifts in ski boots. Not required. They have lockers in a lodge (for free) and you can drop off your equipment before parking. You can also drive down to pick it up if you do not want to carry it either way. I understand many people use the free public transportation but I like my car there. It was all so easy and trouble free
