Very educational visit

I was surprised to find that this museum was not already listed anywhere. It is located in the heart of Wudangshan townsite, and is free to visit (you need your passport to get in). The museum only takes 30 - 45 minutes to walk through, if you take your time. And all of the exhibits have English translations. If you are interested, you can rent an English audio guide - though it is quite expensive. I didn't use one, and still found the museum to be very educational. It has several exhibits, however the most informative were those of Taoism and architecture. While it does have a kung fu exhibit, that alone would not be worth going to see. Overall, if you are interested in learning about historical Chinese culture, it is worth your time to stop in. If you go in the afternoon, then I would recommend sticking around Culture Square (the area outside the museum) after dinner to get a taste of some of the local culture in the evening.

    A Must Visit Museum
During the rule of the Ming Dynasty, particularly from 1402 through 1426 and a century later from 1521 to 1566, massive architectural works were undertaken at Wudang and in the surrounding mountains. These include palaces and temples. The Wudang Museum contains relics, artifacts and carving from those periods on-words! You must visit this heritage collection!
