Incredibly amazing Enshi Grand Canyon & views
This is an amazingly beautiful Grand Canyon, some parts of which remind me of the stone forest outside of Kunming, and other beautiful mountains and mountain walkways in China. Great views can be had all along the 488-meter long Precipice plank road which was completed in 2016 (after a 20-month construction period ) and also from the Enshi Grand Canyon Passenger Cableway, with its 61 cable cars spread along its 1,641-metre length. It is quite incredible how pine and other trees can grow on the sides and tops of the mountains. It is very surprising that there is enough soil for them to flourish. Nature built a lot of artwork into the Enshi Grand Canyon stone tiles and mountain rocks. They are extremely beautiful. Walking through the Grand Canyon of Enshi "Cloud and Dragon", it feels like I'm enjoying the air conditioning in the crevice. The Enshi Grand Canyon is a Five-A-class tourist attraction in China. It has a total length of 108 kilometres.

Must See Natural Wonder of the World!
WOW! WOW! WOW! Without doubt, one of the world's most beautiful natural sights! Gorgeous, Compelling and Awe-Inspiring. This is on par with the US Grand Canyon, Iguazu Falls and the drive up California 1 to Monterey and Carmel. CAVEAT! - Not for the weak of heart (or FEET)! If you choose to walk up to the ridgeline, it is about 1 mile straight up on switchback stairs. The about 4 miles of up and down stairs along the ridgeline. Then about a mile straight down stairs to the bottom. It is a torturous 12 hour event. TOTALLY WORTH IT but a high price to pay. There is a gondola to the top and an elevator back down but the elevator was not running on the day I went. Well worth the additional costs. You can get there by yourself if you are brave and have some Chinese. BUT, when I finished, there was no ride back to Enshi City. God Bless the generous Chinese family that gave us a 2 1/2 hour ride back to the city and refused gas money. Get a full tour at your hotel in Enshi. There are a few very nice hotels at the canyon itself but you will have to look hard to find them if you want to stay on the mountain for more than a day.
