A+++++++++++++++++++++++

My wife and I went to the St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church. The older part of the church where services were formerly conducted was open to visitors. The walls on the inside of the church are covered with beautiful religious icons. So many that it is almost overwhelming. There are paintings, tapestries and some icons crafted in metal. Don't miss St. Michaels. A street next to the church was closed to traffic and the shops along both sides of that street were great. Whether you are looking for apparel, souvenirs or even a pharmacy, they are all there. The local people were all very nice and friendly. We are planning to go back in 2024.

    Authentic train from the Gold Rush days.
    A bit expensive for just a train ride that doesn't stop anywhere. But it was very scenic and nice to see where the original gold rush took place. Probably worth it if the ship pulls into Skagway. But we pulled into Haines and had to pay a lot more for the round trip ferry.
