The Homestead Trolley is one way to get here. I enjoy the Homestead entrance, the Anhinga Trail, a boardwalk 0.8 mile of boardwalk, you always see an alligator, many birds, great white egrets, great blue herons, wood storks, cormorants,, moorhen. The Pinelands Trail is near, its another half mile boardwalk, but the environment is pine forest. You also have the Mahogony Hammock Trail also half a mile an almost Tarzan movie setting. Then you have half mile of West Lake through mangroves, the boardwalk ends, hurricane damage has not been repaired.See more..
