Amazing views, get there early!
We live in China and were travelling internally with another family. We are white and are used to the stares from Chinese people but here we really stood out! I didn't see any other foreigners at all. We arrived at 11am (I would suggest getting there earlier if you want to try avoid the crowds). There was no option to take a mini bus to the top and then walk down. We had to take the 3-4 hour hike up the mountain along the very well organised pathways. It was well shaded in most spots. Every 1km or so there were shops to purchase typical Chinese snacks with seats and some toilets close by. The rock formations, water falls and scenery was truly breathtaking. Our entry ticket was 90rmb each (kids under 140cm are free). Plenty of places to stop for a picnic along the way. For 20rmb each we took the bus down which was a quick journey, with some more amazing scenery. I would recommend coming here with the expectation of communally enjoying this with lots of other Chinese people.
