    Stop here during your cruise!
I visited Valley of the Eagles during my Alaskan cruise and what a fabulous experience. I played 27 holes and enjoyed every minute of it. Beautiful setting. I was committed to playing golf while in Alaska and owners Kathy and Stan made sure it happened. Kathy picked me up from the ferry dock and Stan dropped me off (after giving me a tour of the city and a hunt for bears!). This excursion should be offered thru the cruise lines. Baffled as to why it isn’t. It will take a little planning to get to the course, but if you’re a golfer it’ll 100% be worth your time. How many people can say they played golf in Alaska?!? Thanks guys!!

Off the ship, for a round of golf.
This was one of our side excursions pre-booked for our cruise north to south down the Inside Passage of Alaska. Everything was provided. We had an informative chat with the owner before we played 9 holes of golf. Just the greens are all-weather surfaces, the rest are normal fairways. We were warned a bear had been seen on the course some days before (it's next to a river with salmon), but the only evidence was bear scat with red berries in it. Still, it made the round a little more exciting! Morning tea was provided afterwards and more info and photos of the history of the course and land movement in the area. A bit of shopping in the pro-shop finished off a fun morning and an exercise opportunity.
