great lake park near Seoul
Ilsan lake park is one of the largest lakes near Seoul. It has miles of trails along the lake which is lined with flowers pretty during the Spring and autumn season. There are lots of good restaurants walking distance from the park. the park is located on the orange subway line about 40 minutes from downtown Seoul. It is near Costco and Ikea as well as a movie theater complex. There is a nice mountain park within walking distance from the lake.

Ilsan Lake Park
Ilsan lake park is a wonderful place to take a walk especially in the fall or winter. During the winter it is lit up at night. also fantastic cherry trees in the spring time. the lake is one of the largest man made lakes in Asia. it is located next to great shopping and restaurants ( on the right side of the Lake). Nearest station is Balsan station on the orange line. Coming from the airport or Seoul station take the ARA and transfer at Digital Media city. Ignore the official metro guide book which says to transfer at Seoul Station - that will double your travel time and take 90 minutes as opposed to 40 minutes. Balsan station is also the entry to Balsan mountain which is a nice short hike. at the top you can take a trail that links you to Pukansan national park trails as well.

Big lake park with various facility.
CYC ( 20.05.01 ) My family visited this park for walking around. The park was bigger than I guess, and had good atmosphere. Many people walked around this lake, and many carp was in there. The road for walking was well-managed and many restaurant and facility was operating around lake. There was good park for residential and traveler who want to rest.
