Not a miss when in Baroda.
Baroda Museum and Picture Gallery is located inside Sayaji Baug is one of the best museums in India. It is not very big but has variety of galleries and the diversified collection. There is no provision for audio guide, if provided will be an added advantage to view. The Asian, European and African culture is depicted well through paintings, sculptures, miniatures, vessels. The huge skeleton of shark is worth visiting. The European paintings gallery is very beautiful. Photography is not allowed inside. Persons loving art can spend hours in this museum. Great Displays!
This century old building is yet another example for the finest Indo-saracenic Architecture in Vadodara. It has a wide variety of original collections from famous British painters and also a number of copies. it has also a nice collection of bronzes, Mugal miniatures, and a gallery of Tibetan Art. it is usually very crowded towards noon, so better go in the morning.
