Very beautiful

Chishui Danxia is located at the junction of the Sichuan Basin and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, which is representative of the early Danxia landform, with an area of more than 1,300 square kilometers. It is the largest and most and spectacular Danxia landform in China. The core area of Chishui Danxia is 273.64 square kilometers, which is also the largest Danxia landscape in China's Danxia project. On August 2, 2010, Chishui Danxia was included in the "World Heritage List", which is the eighth world natural heritage project in China. With its bright red Danxia red cliff, isolated peaks and narrow ridges rising from the ground, magnificent strange mountains and rocks, huge rock gallery caves, and beautiful Danxia Canyon, the Chishui Danxia landform has a high tourism value and attracts tourists.

    Gorgeous Chinese nature
Easily reached from the bus station, just show a picture to any local and you'll get shown to the bus, costs around 8 yuan. Entry is around 30 yuan and it will take you a good 3 leisurely hours to walk through the forest seeing the many waterfalls and bamboo trees before reaching the famed danxia cliff itself. It's quite a climb up the valley but once at the top the views are gorgeous and the red rock of the cliff is very beautiful. Once seeing the wall you can take the hair rising slide down to the bottom for 30 yuan (well worth it!). Make sure to be at the exit before 4.30pm for the last bus back to chishui, we missed it but managed to luckily hitch a ride in a cement mixer truck back to town!

    Worth walking up the mountain
It was hard work walking up the mountain to see the "Budda Light Rock"; most of the path was stone stairs. The mountain path was scenic and the Budda Light Rock, with a water stream coming down, was quite unusual.
