highlight of the trip
taking the cruise down to Yangshuo was definitely one of my trip's highlight. it's about 3.5 hours cruise from Guilin starting at 10am and ended in Yangshuo around 1:30pm. prepare your CNY20 and take picture when you pass through the hills that printed on the bill

Li river cruise DIY ( Do it yourself)
Li river cruise Do It Yourself I spend a lot of time figuring out if it was possible to do the Li river cruise without a tour, because we did not need the whole package with the returnbus to Guilin. You can book a single way ticket at the office opposit the Waterfall hotel at the Li river cruise ticket office, but the rate is 360Y. Also at the wharf itself it was 360Y. Since a taxi is 80Y it was a lot of effort for nothing since the tour with pickup service was 420Y in our (Central Wada ) hostel. I doubted also to take the bus- bambooraft- bus tour option which was a lot cheaper but then you are only an hour on the river with a lot of rafts around you and on the cruise you can spend 4 hours on the upper deck ( bring your umbrella on a sunny day!) walking around and enjoying the view.
