Gondola Ride for the Sights
It seemed like much of the area at the top was closed for maintenance so we enjoyed the gondola ride more than the actual mountain. The views at the top are very good and you can see the city and many of the mountain formations from the top. The gondola costs 55 one way or 110 round trip. We took the round trip because the hike to the top looked steep and undermaintained.

Best place closest to Guilin
Recommended to leave early. There is a long ropeway to the top with open seats that give the chills both because of altitude and weather. A wide array of karst mountains with smokey clouds make up the view from top. Its worthwile to go there just for that view

Only if you have spare time
Took a cable car both ways as it was very hot. The cable car ride is nice but other than that we didnt find the mountain top interesting . Some views are nice , so if one has nothing else to do and has time this can be visited as we did
