Short visit, nice for a rainy day
While it appears that you you can climb the hill on our rainy day we appreciated touring the small cave complex with the intricate carvings and displays. We didn’t spend too long there due to the weather, but was still a nice stop on our day-tour.

Great views of Guilin after a sweaty hike, multiple things to see
Pretty nice area overall. Lots of people selling typical souvenirs at the entrance. Named after a general from a long past dynasty that fought off the Vietnamese and impressed the locals of Guilin. There are several places to see inside this attraction. There are caves, the Sword-Testing Stone, an area where Buddhas were carved into the wall, an area for praying in the cave with other gods, and a great view from the top of the hill. It is an isolated limestone peak that has a great view of Guilin. It is about 20-30 sweaty minutes up to the top, but well worth the view. Only reason we gave it 4/5 was because we felt sad for the tortoise that was kept in the cave in a small enclosure for petting (money-making) purposes. Otherwise it is a great place to visit.
