One of the places Must See if in Zhongshan.
Although the view from up is not that spectacular,still it's worth the time.Asis the case in most Chinese landmarks,explanation about the statue is minimal in English.So better google in about the history before you go there. ..if you don't have a Chinese speaking friend or guide to explain.

Stroll and shop around. You can bargain a bit and find interesting goods.

Wellll, maybe not that good
I'm not sure what everyone is crowing about because it's pretty much just another large road in a rather ordinary town but they seem to like the flowers and at night some of the sidewalk is lit up with tiny lights but with the traffic buzzing by it's a road more travelled. It goes from north to south and if you head south you'll smack into Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park which is fairly good to check out. Of course it helps if you have an understanding that the Chinese revere him as much as Americans do George Washington.
