Lovely place for a relaxing walk

This reserve offers a great antidote to the hustle and bustle of Shenzhen (not to mention the city's many theme parks). Rent a bike or do some bird watching or just spend time on the boardwalk admiring the vistas of the city. It is the only nature reserve in an urban center in all of China.

    Pretty Nice
    Overall, I give this four stars. The Mangrove Nature Reserve (officially called Hongshulin Reserve) connects many parks along the shore which forms a pretty large area. It is clean with many facilities such as toilets, restaurants and tuck shops scattered around and is pretty convenient. Along the shore, there is a nice view of Hong Kong, which is just opposite of where you'll be standing. I strongly recommend a bike ride. The price is reasonable and the bike lane is long and comfortable, with a nicely laid flat road which passes by the Universiade Sports Stadium and through many other parks. There is a soft breeze as you're by the sea so the temperature will not make a ride too difficult. I would recommend a three-hour visit starting sometime around 3 or 4 to avoid the sun so cycling or hiking will be more comfortable.

    Great place for all ages! (Maybe not teens)
    This is a really good place to play kites with children, place for old aged people to exercise, cycling with family or couple, and to get out of stress!It is a really large place to run around for the children and cycling. The oxygen is really good because of lots of plants and the view is also really nice. After doing a whole lot of stuff there, you could also bring picnic to eat there, and that is also a good place to chat. (But maybe teens will rather go shopping...)When you look up at the sky you will often see a lot of birds there. They build nests on the tree and some time during the day, you could see the birds line up and form a Chinese character: "人". The only thing that's not really good is that I think (I think!) there's no washroom, well, i didn't find one! This is my review for Mangrove Forest and I hope you like my review!:)
