very interesting history of the town
we had a guide who explained (in Spanish) with pride and interest all about the history of Fermin Lopez, and took us round the whole little museum, which is housed in a colonial building that was one of the first schools way back ... very interesting ... and out the back was a small public library with books available to the students and public of villarrica, something not very common in Paraguay.
