4.5 (54 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Bourail Boat Tours

One of the best snorkeling trips I’ve ever been on!

Located off Poe beach near Bourail (10mins from Sheraton Deva resort) this snorkelling trip was fantastic! Philippe was an incredible snorkelling guide who has a real passion for the reef. He showed us turtles, a reef shark, sea snake, amazing coloured coral, sea anemones and of course anemone fish (Nemo), sea horses, crayfish and myriad tropical fish. Phillippe’s English was perfect and he was very friendly. It was quite windy on the day we went and the current was strong but as we are strong swimmers had no trouble but I would not have taken children snorkelling in those conditions (nor would Philippe). So calm conditions would be better suited for families or not so strong swimmers. We followed our 45minute snorkel with a delicious lunch next door. It was a great excursion and good value!

    Fantastic snorkelling trip
Absolutely brilliant snorkelling trip. We met Philipe at 8am in front of Snack L’Alize. He explained everything to us in perfect English, checked our snorkelling experience and confidence in the water. There were 5 of us on the boat. Around 30 minute boat ride to the pontoon. Enroute we saw Turtles, Manta Rays, Guitar Shark and Sea Snake. Philipe stopped the boat and circled round each time we spotted something in the water so we could get a better view. He took his time to explain what we saw. We moored at the first marker buoy and then all got in the water together. As a group he swam with us around the marked course and at each buoy, gave us an explanation of the corals and sea life below us. We had about 45 minutes of snorkelling. The corals were huge and the water crystal clear. Philipe was a great guide and very passionate about the reef and the sea life. Highly recommended. We booked on line on the website. It was easy and straightforward.

    Informative excursion on the reef
This was a good excursion to get a closer look at the reef. Our guide Phillipe was very knowledgeable and fluent in French and English. What was surprising is how much the coral is losing its vivid color over the years as a result sunblock being deposited in the water and killing the coral and global warming as the temp of the sea rises. As result, the actual site we went to was not as beautiful as I would hope for. Also we were just snorkeling and not diving that ma have been limiting.
