The lake that served the Pyramids of Dahshur

Situated close to the Pyramids of Dahshur the lake is a green oasis. It can be seen from the pyramid themselves and makes a person believe the the stones for the building of the pyramids arrived here on boats when the Nile flowed closer to the area. As we drove past it, we were able to see numerous birds of different species even in winter.

    amazing nature
    it is really best time i spend around Dahshur lake it was amazing spcialy the nature around and the birds life . ask to visit really peace of paradise

    Nice Nature surprises at Dahshur Lake
    This was an unplanned surprise, as our guide is a Nature lover, & even more so because the surrounding area borders on the sandy Desert & rocky plateau. Fun Nature stop in this area filled with pharaonic structures. Very pastoral with abundant birdlife and greenery - plus seeing the lake in this desert area was remarkable. Enjoy !
