4 day Mohamed Kotaby Tour to White Desert
Mohamed Kotaby (Whatsapp +20 1229897317) was an excellent guide on a 4 day White desert tour I did earlier this month. He was an excellent cook - better food than I had in any Cairo restaurant each meal had a variety of dishes and varied each day. Breakfast was lavish. His Toyota Landcruiser is in excellent condition and well maintained. I received a premium service throughout the tour and he allowed me to customised every aspect of the tour to my particular likings. He took me to places that were off the standard path but just as beautiful and he has a deep knowledge of all the areas of this desert. In addition his driving skills are top notch and we never got stuck in soft sand. All in all a high level service throughout

Wonderful local Guide for desert tours
We did a wonderful 5 day trip that was organized through Mohammed Kotabi (whatsapp +20 122 989 7317). We started in Cairo and ended in Luxor upon our request. He had us picked up in the early morning in our hotel in Cairo and after a lunch break we switched to a four wheel drive and started our Adventure in the desert. Mohammed was well prepared and cooked fantastic meals for us. We did not expect such tasty and huge meals in the middle of the desert while camping. We even got pillows to make sure we were comfortable in the beand new sleeping bags :-) We got to see everything in the desert: from crystal mountain to the old and new white desert, black desert and a small and beautiful little oasis for a longer lunch break. After dinner we got a visit from the desert fox, a cute little fellow. After two nights of camping in the desert we switched cars again and a driver took us through Dakhla and Khargha (two larger oasis towns in the desert) to Luxor, visiting different Monuments, Temples and ancient grave sites. Dakhla has an old historic town made of bud brick buildings that have been partially restored, allowing for a fantastic glimpse into the past. Both hotels were nice, with the one in Dakhla clearly winning for charme and its location above the old town overlooking the complete city. This trip was definitely the most memorable experience in Egypt and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a bit of an andventure with an experienced local guide.
