Such a beautiful lake.

You get excellent views of this lake from PTDC Gupis's gardens. The lake is amazing and the best part is that this area is really not crowded with tourists and you can enjoy some peace and quiet here,

    A Lake with flowing water...
    Khalti Lake is located around 6 km from Gupis on Gilgit-Chitral Road. Basically it is Gilgit River that widens up and deepens considerably in the area of Khalti village and then again squeezes to a normal width ahead of PTDC motel. The lake has emerald blue water and is known for housing good sized trout. It is approachable from many places near the main road. On just needs to stop the vehicle on the roadside and go down a bit. There are a few restaurant in the area where one can sit and enjoy lake views. If you are an angler, there are opportunities for catching brown trout which is in abundance in this lake. Do get a fishing license from Gupis… It takes around 3 to 3.5 hours to reach the lake from Gilgit. A must visit place in Gizer Valley

    Breathtaking area
    The views are beautiful here. The lake was in front of our PTDC Gupis Hotel, so we had ample chance to enjoy the views of this lake surrounded by more stunning mountains. The drive to reach Gupis is exquisite.
