It’s a lovely constant from the Hunza valley on the way to the Khunjerab Pass
The Hunza River is a constant all through The Hunza Valley. It’s lovely, winding, and framed by fruit trees, poplar forests, and mountains.

    Main River of the Valley
Hunza River is the main river that drains Khunjerab National Park, Gojal Valley, Hunza Valley, Nagar and adjoining areas up to Gilgit City. In short, it drains all areas on both sides of KKH from Gilgit to Khunjerab Pass. Approximately 250 km long, Hunza River originates deep inside the Khunjerab National Park in a valley that passes between Chapchingal Sar I (20554 ft) and Purzin-Wa-Dasht (20308 ft) peaks. Hunza River does not originate at Khunjerab Pass as is the common belief. The river that flows down from Khunjerab Pass is Khunjerab River which falls in to Hunza River near a tunnel, 7 km short of an area called Shachkatr. Passing through the whole Gojal Valley, Hunza River falls in to Attabad Lake at the scenic village of Shishkat and again emerges from it near Attabad village. From there on, Hunza River flows through main Hunza valley and joins Gilgit River in Gilgit city. This is a journey of approx. 250 km. Many large size glaciers like Batura, Passu, Ghulkin and Glumit Glaciers drain in Hunza River; so is the water from large valleys like Nagar, Misgar, Chapurson, Chalt, Naltar and many other smaller valleys. The ancient silk route that connected China with Iran and India ran along Hunza River and one can still see the signs of the ancient route at many places.
