Nice castle on a beautiful day
Passed the castle on a cycle tour and we just had to stop for pictures. Lovely area with lots of trees and birds. Sunny day definitely helps highlighting the castle from outside. Didn't go in.

Nice old castle in a beautiful surroundings
Visited the castle on a private party, but we enjoyed a guided tour through this old and well preserved middleage castle. Most parts and rooms are empty now, though a small part is rented out where there is people living. The guide was able to tell a lot of details about the castle and history. The small village, surroundings and gardens around are also very beautiful. Nice scenery especially if you are used to move around in a big city. Worth a visit.

Really nice castle
I like this castle. It is not as luxuriously furnished as many others - it's quite sober, actually. But the function of the different rooms is explained well, and the castle is unique for having a roof over the embattlements. During the tour one learns a lot about life in the middle ages, such as the belief in witches, and hygiene, and fertility symbols. A visit could be combined with a visit to the windmill in Hernen.
