Upstairs Downstairs Dutch Style
Huis Verwolde is a stately home from 1777. It was inhabited for more than 200 years by six generations of the noble Van Der Borch Van Verwolde family. The house is now lavishly furnished in an 'upstairs/downstairs' style, inspired by the family. It is open to the public during the tourist season from April 1 to October 31.

Small Castle with The Thickest Tree in the Netherlands
No problem with the parking as it owns a quite big parking area. Unfortunately the house (castle) is only open in the summer ( August, Sept and October ). So we could only see the small castle from a distance. We did the walk in the estate and found the "Dikke Boom", probably the thickest tree of the Netherlands and about 500 years old. It's free to have a walk in this green area.
