Underground museum about the Veluwe landscape

This museum provides information on the formation, history and ecology of the Veluwe. Knowing a bit more about the background of the national park and its environment proved very nice during me walks and bike rides in the Veluwe after our museum visit. It helped me understand the landscape from a different perspective and allowed me to see more of the plants and animals. As someone with a background in geology and paleontology, I thought the exhibition was interesting for both adults and kids, specialists and general public. Only downside were that the information was quite hard to read due to lack of light, and that the museum is a bit small and echoey, and can feel quite cramped with kids.

    Amazing !
Well worth visiting this free museum which had copious amounts of parking for cars and bikes. Really informative exhibitions about the plight of the mouflon, the wildlife of the park and the nature. Fascinating exhibition about what goes on beneath the ground of the park with interactive displays and immersive experiences. All information is in both Dutch and English.

    Worth the visit
When you visit the Veluwe national park you'll come across this little gem at the visitor centre. It is underground and explains the nature in a children friendly way. Most of the museum is interactive. The fee is included in the park entrance ticket.
