Great tour of the Zevenaar Windmill, small glimpse into windmill history
We were met by the keeper of the mill on a Saturday afternoon. He was so welcoming and eager to show us around. We started by getting the canvas flaps unfurled.... he asked my nephew to climb the windblade with him to untie the flaps. We then helped him start the windblades and proceeded inside the mill. He took us all the way to the top floor of the mill, describing the inner workings of the mill, the purpose, the history, etc. He was incredibly informative. I believe he has been around this mill for 30+ years. The ladders going up thru the mill are narrow and may not be the best for those afraid of heights. But once a the top, there is a lovely view of the landscape below. Would highly recommend a tour of a mill with such a knowledgeable person as our guide in Zevenaar!

One of a Kind Wind Mill
It was sunday afternoon when we visited this mill. Never thought that the mill would be open on sunday, even the miller was also there. He was very kind greeting and allowing us to get in the wind mill and seeing how it was working. This kind of wind mill is a tower mill and this wind mill is the first stone mill in the Netherlands. It is one of a kind, as you don't see it somewhere else in the Netherlands. Beautiful! Very good location, at a corner of a crossroad
