Informative and beautiful
Great historic site. Informative, not crowded, and beautiful inside and out. Interesting to learn about the family and see the rooms. Liked it better than de Haar.

Lovely Dutch Castle, Gardens, lots of information
After entering the stables (reception area), you get an audiotour (also available in English). I have to say that all the signs and information on panels is in Dutch, but the audiotour gives you so much info, that it really doesn't matter. Several characters help you understand a bit more about life at a Castle in the 14-18th century, not only noblemen, but also servants. After the stables you get to cross the courtyard to reach the main building. In the basement (where the kitchen used to be) you can get some coffee (better save your thirst for 'Restaurant 't Koetshuis', more to choose from in a nice atmosphere with a fire place ) and then move on with your tour. Don't forget to visit the extensive gardens, with beautiful flora and fauna to admire. If you bring a picnic basket you can easily spend the whole day in and around the castle. O yeah: don't forget to visit the museumshop: great books (castle cookery book!), jewelry and local products like stew and jelly.

What a great place to spend and afternoon
A suprise awaits you. You get access to rooms that are in original state with making you feel that you are back in history late 1700's. Make sure you get the questions you have answered as there are knwledgeable people around. There are also guided tour pods which are helpful.
