Very interesting walk trough the history of Industrial Gabrovo

Gabrovo is a town called “Bulgarian Manchester”. The museum is an interactive walk trough the history of the town from the industrial perspective from it’s creation to nowadays. Very impressive and interesting. 3 floors covering different periods + modern interactive and entertaining ending at the last floor. The guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

    A gem
We couldn't believe how amazing this place is and its dirt cheap! Great for children! You can learn so much about the town and also the Bulgarian economy. There a lot attractions . You can even go to the future! Definitely a must to visit!

Very nice interactive museum, would be worthy of the capital
We were amazed at how well-organised and professionally presented this museum was. That's not a slight on Gabrovo, a place we enjoyed immensely, but one might have expected to find something of this quality in Sofia. With three themed floors (pre-socialist, socialist, and modern) and your own tour guide (we had one anyway, the wonderful Pepa) there is much of interest - even for fairly young children - despite the relatively limited space. A highlight was the tour finale: a trip to the basement to recline in comfy chairs, slip on some 3D glasses, and watch a helicopter tour of Gabrovo and the surrounding region. Throw in the modest pricing and the warm welcome, and it's a very decent way to spend an hour or more.
