We scaled Yushan in Apr as part of our twin peak challenge after completing Xueshan with a day break in between both mountains. Did not have good weather in Xueshan, an impending storm was approaching while we were at Yushan so we tweaked our plans slightly and brought forward our summit push and was thankful for great weather despite being a bit more challenging due to longer distance to cover. We trekked all the way from Dongpu lodge to Baiyun lodge and continued to summit all in 1 day. Well worth though.See more..

4.0Xiamen Wulao Mountain(41 reviews) - A nice 45 minute hike with view at the top! Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Mountains
This is a great little mountain to climb as its only about 45 minutes to the peak where you'll have terrific view of Xiamen. There are loads of other people hiking up as well so it's not exactly a romantic type of hike, but nevertheless you'll be rewarded with a good view. To get there, one must first go into the Nanputuo Temple as the climb starts from the rear of the temple. It's free to enter both the temple and the hike. The temple is also right next to the famous Xiamen University.See more..

4.0Qingyun Mountain(17 reviews) - Great water fall Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Mountains
It is a 3km hike to the waterfall with an easy hiking trail. Concrete paths may be slippery after rains. Good place to get away from crowded cities as there is hardly anyone. However, it is not that pristine and nice due to the concrete paths and sparse rubbish along the way. A good alternative to mountain Gu.See more..
we visited Taining Danxia Landform in summer 2012. This is a world heritage cite in fujian province. We had a guide tour for this place and it took near 1.5 to visit the place. This is on of the best and amazing parks we have ever seen, which has its unique rocks with amazing holes within. There are lots of interesting places to see. We strongly recommend this place.See more..

4.5Xian'gong Mountain(6 reviews) - Must visit Xian'gong Mountain if your in Majia Mountains
I have spent many days at the Temple as I lived in Majia for 2 years. Hiking along the top of the mountain - driving my motor bike to the temple. That along with eating at the restaurants and boating on the lake are the best things to do in Majia. If you go, your bound to see a few foreign teachers who teach at Yang-En University.See more..
Very nice mountaint, nice view of surrounding mountains, fresh air, strangely shaped rocks. Our chinese friends told us there is one ( ONE!!!) tiger on this mountain, but since there are no other animals, he is actually a vegetarian. I think this story might not be true. We did not see the tiger, but there were metal fences meant to prevent the tiger from climbing the mountain. I think this information might also be false. If you see a tiger, don't panic. He is veretarian.See more..
4.0Yongtai Tianmen Mountain(4 reviews) - Worth The Trip ....... Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Mountains
On my second trip to Fujian, China, my friend recommended seeing Qing Yun mountains in Yong Tai county and visit the open air hot spring resort there. Though a 2-3 hr drive from Fu Zhou City through narrow winding roads uphill and downhill, it was worth it. One can easily miss the road signs as roads are narrow and bends are sharp. I recommend getting a local to take you up there or join a tour. Visit the Qing Yun park and enjoy the scenery. Its serene and air is fresh. Paths are clearly marked and there are rest points along the way. Weekdays are quieter and less crowded. A leisure walk would take about 2-3 hrs. Entrance fee about RMB150. Next visit the open air hot spring. Its best to spend a few days at the resort as its huge and modern. Variety of spring water to try - even a milk bath ! You can do a day-trip or stay at the resort. But the later is better. Its in Yong Tai county amongst the Qing Yun mountains. By the way, bring your own swim gear as its pricey at the resort. If a day trip, eat at the local shops on the way up and not at the resort as its dearer. Enjoy, its well worth the trip !See more..
4.5Nanping Jiufeng Mountain(4 reviews) - Great place for a hike and views of Nanping Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Mountains
While the steps are steep and the climate (in late June) was hot and steamy, it was great fun to explore this mountain the temple. There are great views of Nanping, and if you are a westerner, you are likely to be the only one climbing up the steps! Great opportunities for chatting with the locals if you can!See more..
4.0Sanming Qilinshan Park(4 reviews) - Nice to visit and lots of walking Friday: 5:00 AM - 10:30 PM Mountains • Parks
We visited in 2011 and had a great time, I would recommend it to families as well. We had nice weather and no issues. The guard was a little confused with and American having a free pass.See more..
The road up the hill is not ready for cars to get through as there are some rought patch and portholes. But because we know the contractor for this road work, we were allow to get up there. There are many logan and mei hua along the road. There is a small village on top of the mountain, but I heard from my uncle that a meal there is expensive. The weather is very cold up there and you need a jacket, you can see the clouds floating around you. There is a red army house up at the hill but you need to make booking to view inside, when you walk further in, there are many stone formation and you need at least a day to view all of it.See more..
We travelled to Yunxiao from Xiamen to attend a friend's wedding. The day we were going to leave Yunxiao, we went to this park near our hotel - this is a very beautiful area filled with scenic spots, temples and views. We didn't have enough time to go to the top of the mountain, but spent an hour or so walking around, taking many photos. Would highly recommend if you're in the area (Yunxiao is a small city as well), but a very peaceful and beautiful area.See more..
