    Not really 'beachy'
    This is not really a beachy area, you should walk, bike or drive to the north shore for that. But you do have walking paths through heather and grass along the west coast. Plus a visit to quaint De Walvis.

    Beautiful nature, nice walk
    The "groene strand" is a very nice nature reserve west of West-Terschelling, and offers a nice walk through nature for about 2-3 hours. Sometimes you have to walk across horse-riding tracks which for kids-trolleys can be a bit tricky to navigate.
