Excellent Overview Of Fredericksburg
This is a combination of museum and visitor's centre and is excellent in both aspects. Located on main street , open most days and staffed by enthusiastic individuals, take some time to see what Fredericksburg was like, Both yesterday and today. While there is no admission fee, they do appreciate any donation that you would like to leave. My suggestion is $5.00 per person.

Very nice hostess, and excellent historical displays and photos.
We popped in at a whim while walking. It is small, as it was a one-room church from the past. Displays included a German Bible from the 1600's, as well as displays and photos through time including when the railroad was built to Fredericksburg (see Old Tunnel State Park). I recommend it - especially to appreciate the history of Fredericksburg and its German immigrant roots. There is so much to Fredericksburg than shops!
