Beautiful Vineyard and experience
Out of the many wineries to choose from in Fredericksburg, Augusta Vin was recommended and it stood out to us for a few reasons. Not being from the area I had a few questions prior to which CEO Scott Felder graciously answered them all promptly via email which was much appreciated. Once we arrived, the grounds were immaculate, the customer service Superior, and our wine tasting rep/server who I'd like to give a shot out to "CHUCK" was very knowledgable, informative, patient, and oh so personable! Our visit would not have been the same without him. Hands down the best winery and customer service in Fredericksburg. We hope to return someday... and of course ask for Chuck!

Better experience than the 290 wineries
This is a hidden gem in the Fredericksburg wine scene. Don't let anyone else know okay? We were long-time members at Grape Creek, but it got so busy that members had to wait in line outside on weekends to get a table on the patio. There are too many shuttles and tour buses on the 290 route so we tried Augusta Vin as an alternative. Our first visit the Waze app had us take Bear Creek Road west off 87. We drove through the country, over many a cattle gate until we got to Old Kerr Highway. I have learned that Waze doesn't know all. Now we go up to Fredericksburg and take Old Kerry Highway. We joined at our first visit we were so impressed. Great staff and a great selection of both red and white varietals. I like the ability as a member to book reservations and to be quickly sat upstairs. If the weather is good we hang out on balcony overlooking the vineyard. We also like the charcuterie boards you can purchase to enjoy your complimentary tasting or glass when you come to pick up your wine. My wife likes Augusta Vin better than Grape also because their whites are not to sweet. I cannot find my photos as the Apple gremlins appear to have deleted many of my photos. I will post next week when we visit again.
