My husband and I have been to Fredericksburg many times. On this trip, we went to see the holiday lights on Main Street. Those lights were ok. The lights in the Marktplatz along Main Street were super. We arrived at the Marktplatz about 30 minutes before sundown and enjoyed walking through the gardens. An ice rink was setup for ice skaters. There was a small charge for skating. From 6 pm to 6:10 pm, the story of Fredericksburg was told on speakers then 3 Christmas carols. Next, there was a count down 10 to 1 and the Marktplatz was lite with lights. I love the 26-foot tall wooden German Christmas Pyramid that was made in Germany. Main Street has lots of very interesting shops with one of a kind items. So much fun.See more..
