St. Lucie County Regional History Center, Florida, United States

4.5 (104 reviews) Monday: Spent Ranking #9 in Fort Pierce History Museums

Very informative

We were given a tour by a gentleman. He explained all the exhibits and answered questions. Lots to see. Only complaint was I felt we would have rather walked round on our own, and spent longer on some exhibits and less on others. However maybe it is a security issue. We were impressed with the Center.

    Delightful place to visit
We discovered this museum by accident on the way to Jetty Park and when a rainy day cancelled our plans, we decided to check it out. What a wonderful place to spend some time learning about the history of the area. The volunteers have a wealth of knowledge and were delightful to talk with. It’s truly a gem and definitely worth a visit!

    Great museum
This museum and Smithsonian museum are just a 3 minute walk from each other. The combo price is only $5 for the 2 museums. The museum gives you a handheld wand that you listen to as you punch in the number corresponding to the exhibit. Very interesting history of the area. I didnot know that Jensen Beach was once the world pineapple capital. Many other interesting tidbits throughout the museum.
