    Beware of large animals
Went kayaking here and let’s just say I got my fair share of nature. I saw three small sharks, tons of fish, at least two manatees, dolphins and I also encountered something incredibly large, still don’t know what it was, about the size of my kayak (9ft). I don’t know if it was a gator or a large shark but definitely something to keep in mind when exploring the waters out here

    Interesting walk
This inauspicious little 1/2 mile trail offers a glimpse into the ecosystem at the edge of the Intracoastal Waterway in Ft. Pierce. There are informative signs prepared by the 4H, that describe the wildlife in the area, and informational panels on the mangrove trees that are the backbone of the entire ecosystem. Good views of the water, the mangroves and a lagoon. Several of the outlooks that were built to give you a better view were locked or off limits, so I felt a bit like I was missing out. That being said, it's worth a walk, or a run, or both.
