Old house with thorough audio tour
The Ximenez-Fatio House was a boarding house that dates back hundreds of years in St. Augustine. What is notable is that every room in the house is both preserved and open to tour. The tour itself is an audio guide with 23 stops of 1-3 minutes each that goes through the dining room, the many bedrooms (the house was a boarding house) and the laundry and kitchen. I appreciated being able to thoroughly explore this interesting property.

Beautifully restored
We came very close to not going to this museum because I was not getting a sense of what there was to see from the website. But we decided to go and I’m so glad we did. This home served as several businesses for the families who lived upstairs and also as a boarding home. It’s been restored to the time it was a boarding home. You visit pretty much all the rooms in the home. Our tour took about an hour and our docent was very knowledgeable. There are a lot of very cool antiques and personal items throughout the home.
