Surprised and Delighted!
Originally wanted to go offshore for a full day trip but big waves kept us close to shore. We got immediate action the first time we put a line in the water. I caught a perfect sized Red Drum (26”), just under the slot limit of 27”. We went on to catch 9 monster Red Drum all over 30”. We also put in the box 2 Pompano and a beautiful Mangrove Snapper. We caught and released an amazing jumping Tarpon. We caught and released a 25 pound Snook. For the day, we caught and released several other species of various sizes. In 60+ years of fishing, absolutely my best day ever. Captain Fred (Frenchy) was knowledgeable, helpful, and really makes the experienced angler (me) and a complete novice who had never caught a fish (my guest), feel equally comfortable. I highly recommend you book a trip and leave the rest to Captain Fred for a great day of fun!

Great day fishing
We had a fantastic day fishing with Captain Fred or Frenchy whatever you want to call him. We fished in shore because there were 5 of us and it was way too windy to be off shore. Captain Fred was patient with the kids and helped us catch a lot of fish. At the end of the day we all had something in the cooler except my youngest daughter. She said "If I don't get one in the cooler it will not be from a lack of trying." Captain Fred heard her and got her to fish next to him. For the next hour (30 minutes longer than our booking) they both fished extremely hard, caught several (non keepers), lost a couple big ones, and finally gave up.... but not without giving all both of them could give. My daughter loved it. After we got back Captain Fred cleaned the fish and gave me cooking tips. I grilled the redfish and mango snapper exactly as he suggested and we had more fish than the 5 of us could eat. I have chartered a boat several times on vacation, Captain Fred is reasonably priced, worth every dollar, and a fantastic guide. I will book him everytime I am in the area, Thank you Captain Fred.

Frenchy is the Best!
Capt. Fred or Frenchy as you will come to know is one of the best Captains I have fished with. My day of fishing we might not put up the biggest numbers but a cold front arrived the night before and drop the water temperature 5 degrees from the previous day. It was cold, windy and the waves were big so the conditions we're Great as you can tell :) Captain Fred is full of good information and great stories once we arrived at our spot he had our tackle setup and we had lines in the water within 5 minutes. Frenchy had live bait for us to use! This is a big plus for anyone who doesn't know a lot about fishing especially in the ocean. He has top-of-the-line gear and excellent terminal tackle. He's always checking your lines for abrasions to see if there's a need to retie. He uses light weight tackle so the fight is great no matter the size but it's amazing when you hook something big. If you're in Daytona or New Smyrna Beach area book a day with Captain Fred it'll be one of the best of your vacation. P.S. We did catch the biggest red fish I have ever caught!! Thanks Frenchy!!!
