Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, Florida, United States
4.5 (201 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in White Springs Art Museums
An experience to be cherished.
Spacious and beautiful, there are so many things to see and do. The campground is outstanding with privacy, level, and wonderfully clean, updated bathhouse. The museum was so informative, I didn't realize all the songs Steven Foster wrote. The carillon Tower is magistic and plays music several times a day. Suwanee River views, trails to hike or bike. The town and White Sulphur Springs are just outside the entrance. If you want to kayak the river, use Americian Canoe they have everything you need.

Always a welcome stop
We have started to stop here every winter, because it is so nice. We were told that there is a bluegrass jam every Friday night. We enjoyed visiting a few craft shops but most were closed by the time we got there. The bell tower is beautiful but wasn't ringing this year. The facilities were wonderful and the sites so spacious and level.

Great campground
Unfortunately almost everything was closed while we camped here, even the Swanee was too high to paddle. But the campground was stellar. Large beautiful sites spread out among live oaks. “Beautiful Dreaming” to come back when we can hear the Carillon & go into the museum & go Way Down upon the Swanee River in my kayak.
