Beautiful Gem
I picked the wrong time of year to explore this trail...summer. It was hot, humid, and the mosquitoes were ravenous. All that said, I love this trail! I did the full loop. The lush forest was beautiful, the peace and serenity unmatched, and the trail was well maintained. I sat down on logs often just to listen to the birds and the quiet. I'll definitely be back for an overnight in the winter.

Trail got a major make over- Great hiking
We have always enjoyed this loop trail over the years . We started at the Parking Lot , got to the yellow trail and did that loop, followed by the orange/white blazed big loop. Total of 8 miles. The back section which has a tendency to become wet now has a number of beautiful new boardwalks over the wet spots. Also the 2 overlooks over the St Johns river were totally cleaned up ( no more beer cans etc ) . A big thank you to the local chapter who improves and maintains this trail. we actually saw some of the volunteers working on the trail

Noise Ordinance ?
We were just wanting to unwind. Anymore the city and country is so noisy. Can't even get a nice sleep. The loud Radio and Louder Pipes. Hard to find a quiet zone . Neighbors had a party until 4 a m. Law came and they turned noise down. Until Law were a mile away. Then volume up to 100% .
