Lovely and well done living history of St Augustine!
We enjoyed a beautifully narrated history of St Augustine complete with real time demonstrations of a blacksmith shop fire and welding of iron, a cannon being shot (with powder so it wasn’t noisy), and fascinating stories of the use of the Spanish caravels during the battle with the French Huguenots. The property has a nice replica of the caravel on site. There is also an old restored house that is beautifully restored and a pirate museum. The property is directly across from the old fort and the back side opens up into the old cobblestone streets of St Augustine. This is a great place to spend a few hours to get a hands on look at historic St Augustine. Worth your time!

GOOD FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES
My wife and I visited this place during our visit to the St. Augustine area. The only negative is that parking in the downtown area is very difficult to find. Otherwise, this is a good museum for kids of all ages with a lot of history imparted about the pirates we have all heard about and several most have never heard of. There are interactive activities along the way to keep the young kids interested and it is a fun way to spend an hour or two in the AC and out of the hot/humid weather outside. The price isn't going to break your budget and they offer a discount for military and seniors. I would recommend this place for the pirate enthusiast in your family.
